wow tmr.. on red alert man..i think they're scared of a repeat of ndp years ago where msia and indonesia held a combined exercise near us..do the idiots thin...

cassie SG

now you'd need to pay a quite few million, thanks to inflation and whatnot

so my point is, en-blocs are quite a bad deal for homeowners aka non-speculators.

since when did anyone other than speculators win? though now with the prop market softening (elsewhere), loads of peeps getting their fingers burned.

reminds me of the time someone was saying that companies were flogging BMWs to couples whose collective income barely reached $3k

that was pinky's friend at a bank looking at this moronic couple's loan application to buy a BMW. Combined household income barely touching 3k. the manager told her friend to approve it, saying they will make $$ by reposessing it soon.

SHIT!!!!!! MY NUGGETS ARE FINISHED!!!!!

the Bear SG

i'll never buy an expensive car.

it serves no purpose for me

unless i have to drive from SG to thailand

even then, i'll buy a big bike again

yeah.. people like us..

you might buy the box on wheels coz it'll serve your purpose..

i bought my little car just because it's the most value-for-money car

cassie SG

i do neither - not approvals nor repo. less mess especially when things go downhill and they need a scapegoat.

Fatum SG

which idiot would even dare buy a cherry QQ with combined income of less than 3k a month ....

much less a beemer ? ....

av98m SG

bear, I presume you're waiting for the property market to soften so you can sell your backside to the bank?

not as idiotic as the people who sign off on the loan

Fatum SG

not as idiotic as the people who sign off on the loan

but it makes business sense ....

doing repo ? ...

cassie SG

doing repo ? ...

you getting the vehicle back in the same condition as day 1? who bears cost of repo? yeah sure add on to the loan amount...but since he defaulted, he ain't paying you back. re-sale? yeah sure, which means you gotta "restore" the vehicle to saleable position.

the Bear SG

bear, I presume you're waiting for the property market to soften so you can sell your backside to the bank?

yeah.. that's the plan..

actually, i wish there's this sudden revelation that the banks have been covering up the losses of the sub-prime and everything goes to hell in a shitbucket...

and in Singapore, too many fucktards get burnt and the property market turns into hammered shit...

here's hoping that all the expensive new units being built now goes for lelong by then. and if all goes well........that you won't have to sell your backside alone

in other news...should we be scared that most of the new shopping centres and condos in singapore are being built by PRC companies?
